#Integrity is to do what you say you are going to do. And then to do it. And then to repeat that process over and over again (to do what you say you are going to do. And then to do it.)  A problem we all face is that we don’t always do what we say we are going to do. Nobody is perfect. We all fall out of integrity. The key to restoring integrity is to acknowledge the lapse with yourself and whomever else is involved. Then you are whole and complete again. Like if you are late to pick up a friend or you don’t show up for an event you said you would attend. To acknowledge that you are out of integrity — that you did not do what you said you would do — does not have to make you wrong. It does not have to make somebody else right. It just requires ownership and responsibility. And, once you say the real reason you did not do what you said you would do — honestly and with no excuses — you are back in integrity! You are clean and fresh to start again from scratch. Lastly, a person is always welcome to change his or her mind. I’ll give an example of this tomorrow…
